The Hunterfly Road Houses (circa 1968)

The Hunterfly Road Houses (circa 1968)

The Hunterfly Road Houses as seen from the air in 1968. During their flight over Weeksville, historian James Hurley pilot Joseph Haynes noticed an oddly situated lane with some small wooden frame houses. What they discovered from the air turned out to be the Hunterfly Road Houses. These last remnants of 19th century Weeksville are situated in their original locations on what was originally a Native American trail and later a colonial road.
