THE WEEKSVILLE GARDEN PARTY: A Food and Music Festival in Brooklyn
The Garden Party brings some of the best up-and-coming musicians, a selection of renowned NYC food vendors and our curated Small Medium Large film series to the historic site. All events take place outdoors in one of NYC’s most unique venues – The Weeksville Garden.
Gates open @ 4pm, music begins @ 6pm and films begin @ 8pm or sundown. There is a $5 suggested donation for each show. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Kimberly'Nichole & Shabazz Palaces
This Seattle native knows how to wow an audience - playing on an edgier side of the R&B fence with her rock, punk, and hip-hop soul sounds. A Spellman graduate and self-professed leader of the “Young Soul Movement,” Kimberly’Nichole’s new album Yellow Brick Road will show everyone that her rising star is about to explode.
Seattle-based Shabazz Palaces has burst on to the Seattle music scene, burning packed houses to the ground with their diverse rhythms of global Black music. Led by Palaceer Lazaro and Ishmael Butler, New York should prepare for a new music hero.
