As Brooklyn begins celebrating Caribbean heritage all month through Carnival, we are elated to collaborate with Art, Food, and Soul for 'Identifying Black: Pop Culture Exposing Old Narratives for AfroCaribbean Americans'.

This special evening opens with a screening of "NEGRO",  docu-series exploring identity, colonization, racism and the African Diaspora in Latin America and the Caribbean and the color complex among Latinos by Dash Harris of AfroLatino Travel. Harris will be in conversation with Shelley Vidia Worrell, Founder and Chief Curator of Carribeing and Andrew Clarke, Actor/Singer and Founder of Braata Productions immediately following around issues of identity, colorism, and the effects of colonialism.
