Colors of Colonization

Join us on Saturday, July 15 in collaboration with The Earth Center for a deep exploration of the African indigenous history of colonization, the origins of “colors,” and how it all influences the ways in which we interact with each other today.

Schedule:

  • 1:00pm – Doors
  • 1:30 PM – Ka’at Ibi Yoga (Original Yoga)

Ka’at Ibi is the original form of yoga preserved by African Indigenous peoples and is a form of movement, meditation and dialogue with nature.

  • 3:00 PM – The Colors of Colonization Talk with TutibSaa Maaheqwur
  • 4:00 PM – General Q&A

This event is free and open to the public with RSVP. Weeksville will provide yoga mats to the first 15 participants. We encourage you to bring your own mats.
