Join us on Saturday, October 19th, from 12-8 pm for our last Weeksville Green Market of the season, closing with our annual Harvest Festival!
Enjoy fresh produce from our green market, Black-owned business vendors, and meet partners from other Black institutions in Brooklyn, including 227 Abolitionist Place and GrowHouse. There will also be a range of events, including a movement and healing workshop for Black men with 651 Arts and a pickling workshop by Tonya Hopkins, aka The Food Griot.
In the evening catch our Torchlight Talk series featuring Brooklynites by Prithi Kanakamedala in conversation with artist Walis Johnson, an herbal bundle workshop with Malcolm Jackson of Regal Roots, and a screening of the documentary You Think You Grown by Chanel Dupree.
