Mister Sunday Juneteenth Takeover

Join us at Nowadays for Mister Sunday with Dex and Mark Flash of Underground Resistance plus Nowadays resident SHYBOI DJing all day.

Underground Resistance and Weeksville Heritage Center come together to commemorate Juneteenth with an event that brings forward legacies of autonomous Black community building while celebrating in the present with a set on Nowadays’ outdoor dance floor. In addition to UR’s Mark Flash and Nomadico performing, New York’s Dweller presents SHYBOI who will be opening to connect cities and diasporic histories. The event is presented in conjunction with Weeksville’s Something Like Freedom program series, and a portion of the day’s proceeds will support future abolition-related programming at WHC.

Mister Sunday is an all ages event. Kids under 16 accompanied with an adult are free.
