OPEN STUDIO with Performance Artist, Ayana Evans

DROP BY ANY TIME BETWEEN 5–8:30PM!

Performance artist Ayana Evans will hold an open studio for members of the public to talk about her practice; her current exhibition, C.R.E.A.M.: So let’s start a gotdamn revolution, at Weeksville Heritage Center; and her broader approach to art-making and programming around social issues. 

Attendees are invited to view the exhibition and discuss their thoughts and questions directly with the artist. A limited number of free tours of Weeksville’s Historic Hunterfly Road Houses will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Open Studios is free and open to all. This program is accessible by wheelchair and other forms of walking assistance. Please contact info@weeksvillesociety.org with accessibility questions or requests.

This program is presented in conjunction with Cash Rules Everything Around Me: So let’s start a gotdamn revolution, which may be viewed outdoors in Weeksville’s exterior windows after sunset or indoors in our gallery space during Weeksville Heritage Center’s business hours.  Masks are strongly encouraged indoors for all visitors. 

The artwork and concept for C.R.E.A.M. were created by Ayana Evans in partnership with Weeksville Heritage Center. Exhibition and programming organized by Isabelle Hui Saldaña, Creative Programs and Partnerships Manager, with Jessica Georges, Programs Coordinator; and others
